Kravtsov Nikolai Alexandrovich was born in April, 24, 1943 in Vladivostok. Graduated the Tallinn State Conservatoire in 1967, with two specialities: instrumental performing (accordeon-class L.Vigla), conductor of air instrument (class Kjaramees A.) and music science (class-L.Normet). He made up the first gradiation of accordeon at USSR Consrvatories (1967) with Tamman V., Mart’janovim B., Annionom H., Karu V.,Jakonom H.,Borisenko E., Solleht E. Russia’s honored Worker of Arts (1999) Candidate of Arts (1982) Professor (1993)
As a performer N.A. Kravtsov gave over 1500 public performances in Russia’s main concert halls: the Column Hall the Union House, the Bolshoy (Grand) and the Maly (Chamber) Halls of the D.D.Shostakovich Philharmonic Society, the Bolshoy and the Maly Halls of the M.I.Glinka St.-Petersburg Capella, the Concert Hall of The Tallinn Philarmony (Tallinn), Chamber Hall of the Vilnius Philarmony (Vilnius). He has toured over Germany, France, Norway, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Estonia; he has performed in such concert halls as "Gewandhaus" (Leipzig), "Friedrichstadtpalast" (Berlin), The Congress Palace (Strasbourg) and many others. He has performed as a soloist with many well-known orchestras: the Russian Federation’s Honored Orchestra of the D.D.Shostakovich Philharmonic Society,the Chamber Orchestra of Saint-Petersburg Philarmony of the D.D.Shostakovich;The second cast of the Symphony Orchestra of Saint-Petersburg Philarmony of the D.D.Shostakovich, V.P.Soloviev-Sedoy Orchestra of the St.-Petersburg Radio, the Pavel Smirnov Accordion Orchestra, the V.V.Andreev Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments, the Orchestra of the M.P.Mussorgsky Maly Opera House of St.-Petersburg, Moscow State Symphonic Orchestra of the N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in St.-Petersburg, the Chamber Orchestra of the Tallinn Philharmonic Society, the Leningrad Concert Orchestra. He performed in concerts led by such conductors as: A.Yansons, M.Yansons, G.Rozhdestvenskii, E.Hachaturjan, S.Gorkovenko, R.Matsov, A.Badhen, P.Bubelnikov, P.Magi, Y.Smirnov, V.Smirnov, Y.Bogdanov, A.Kutsenko, A.Titov and others. Also cooperated with composers S.Slonimskii, H.Eiler, E.Kapp, Y.Rjats, G.Banwikov, K.Mjaskov, E.Doga, I.Shavarc, V.Basner, I.Cvetkov, S.Gubaidulina, A.Knaifel’, V.Bibergan, V.Kisin, S.Banevich, A.Mnacakanjan and many others. He took part and performed in concerts at International Festivals of Accordeon and Bayan music, hold in Moscow, Leningrad-Saint-Petersburg, Vilnius, Daugavpils,Tallinn,Tartu and others cities of Russia and closed countries. He wrote music for more than 42 cinemas including “For all remainig life”(V.Basner), “The Airswimmer”, ”The Tower”, “The Asja Kljachkina’s story who loves but doesn’t marry”, “The French vals”( all by I.Cvetkov), "The face-off ” (A.Knaifel’), “Ivan and Kolombina” (S.Slonimskii), ”The police sergeant” (A.Mnacakanjan) and others. He has been a jury member in international and all-Russia contests. He took part in creating the first elective accordion "Leningrad" being produced at the fabrique "Krasnii Partizan" in 1974 as the chairman of expert board of fabrique " Krasnii Partizan". The creation of equal system of organpiano keyboard of accordion is at the special place in his numerous science and methodical articles. It’s given a new impulse to performing the accordion in Russia, China, the UK, Canada, Norway, Since 2005 professor Golubnichii V.I. (N.Novgorod) has become to teach students to play at such instrument. For practical implementation natural science idea Kravtsov’s got the grant of Russian performing art fund twice (2005 and 2006). As the head of expert union of Leningrad fabrique of music instruments “Krasnii Oktjabr’” took part in invention and creation the first native industry pattern the accordion “Leningrad”(1974) and first gave the public performance with it in Leningrad. For outstanding in developing the performance art N.A.Kravtsov was awarded to the medal of orden “For services to native land the second level”, the breastplate”For culture service”. His name are written in The Gold Book of The Native Land” for outstanding service for Russia prospering.
